So last night I joined a Karate club...cos apparently one martial art isn't enough any more. For the moment I am doing Shoto-Budo but depending on what the organisation is like, I may move to another style (but at this stage I don't know enough about Karate to really make any judgements). It was a hell of a lot of fun and it seems to be less about standing in lines throwing punches and shouting and more about actually using karate correctly.
This however is not my main question...for all those martial artists out there (
journaladdict I'm looking at you here, as well as
ange_tarantism and
robogida) I am looking to take up a chinese martial art too (but I am open to other suggestions). So far, I am studying an external (karate) a 50/50 internal/external (ninjutsu) what styles would people suggest I take up to complement the other two?
I should probably cross post this in the martial arts journals, but I just cannt be bothered dealing with people I don't know and therefore don't trust on this one.
Naturally, anyone with an opinion is welcome to give me their suggestions - but I am not that keen on capoeira or Jujutsu. Nothing against the arts themselves, they just don't interest me that much.
