(OOC) Long-ass character meme from Hell
Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy? Malik is canonly disproportionate... and anorexic, apparently. He's supposed to be 5'11 at about 100 to 125 pounds, if I remember correctly. That's... pretty tiny. And like I said, makes him practically anorexic.
2. How old is he? 19. I always imagined him a year older than the other Yu-Gi-Oh characters, but since I don't know what year this RP is set in, and since canonly he would be 28 by now (born in 1980), I made him nineteen. In mind, this RP is set a few years after the whole Ceremonial Battle thing, but still present day, if that makes any sense.
3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch? Depends on where he is. If he's in public, he doesn’t slouch, but at home? Major slouch-er.
4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities? Pretty fit. Abs, man. Abs.
5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid? Malik can be extremely clumsy if he’s not focused, but otherwise he’s pretty graceful, especially when fighting.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror? I don’t care what you say, Malik is hot shit, physically (Personality-wise? Not so much…). He likes to pretend he’s hot shit on the inside and out, but he knows he not perfect on the inside, and thinks he’s not on the outside. It’s why he wears so much makeup- to cover imperfections, to create a mask.
7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred? Tan, tan, tan, beautiful complexion that he makes sure to take care of everyday... Except for his back and cheeks… He’s got the scars on his back, and the scars on his face. The ones on his face he covers with eyeliner to make sure people think its deliberate eye makeup rather than a scar.
8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style. Light, somewhat platinum-blonde hair, feather-y and long down to his upper back, with bangs parted in the middle of his head.
9. What color are his eyes? Violet.
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?

11. What are his chief tension centers? DON’T touch his back. GOD, don’t touch his back. Not without his permission. It’s a sensitive (and erogenous) spot for him. Don’t touch it, even accidentally, he’ll beat you up for it. Seriously. Or jizz his pants. Whichever comes first.
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit? Gay, gay and even gayer, and I like to think every shirt he owns shows off his abs in one way or another, whether by being short or tight. He has a varied color palette, though for someone so homosexual, he doesn’t like bright colors much, except for red, violet and blue. He likes black and white a lot. He dresses casually. He owns nothing formal. He’s had enough of formality.
13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them? His clothe are either extremely loose or extremely tight. He’s always comfortable in his clothes. Clothes are passion of his.
14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences? He’s so unprofessional. He would totally wear that purple belly shirt to a business meeting. Like I said, he’s tired of formality in his life.
15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando? Honestly, commando. Never had to wear underwear in the tombs, after all, so it’s something to get used to, being confined…
Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse? In the dub he sounds nasal. In the Japanese voices he sounds… too young for my tastes. I always imaged him sounding like J.J. Abrams (with an accent).
2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate? Fast. Really fast. And LOUD. God knows why.
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics? He’s has light accent… probably some light remnant of Ancient Egyptian, but who knows? It’s an untraceable scent because of his mysterious roots.
4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency? Uhh, long list here. In order of most fluent to least fluent:

5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations? No. He’s pretty good at keeping them separate.

7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change? Kinda in-between. He reads a lot of books in different languages, so he’s very eloquent, but he’d never around people where he can use the words he learns. (No one would understand him.)
Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart? Both. His street smarts are more from his days or dowsing in illegalities, but his book smart come from his desire to learn everything about a world he was closed off from for so long.
2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate? Depends on the situation. In times of action, he doesn’t need to think, but when in serious debates or conversations, he’s thoughtful about what words he uses, though he doesn’t think things all the way through, if that makes sense.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
4. What kind of education has the character had? No formal education. Everything he knows is from teaching himself, unless it comes to ancient scriptures.
5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about? Everything. Just, everything. He loves to learn. He was locked away from the world for so long, he wants to learn everything about what he missed out on.
6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert? Introvert, to an extent. He doesn’t mind telling people embarrassing things to freak them out, but he keeps his private life to himself until you get emotionally close to him.
7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven? MAJOR MOOD SWINGS, PEOPLES. He could go from happy and cheerful to drop dead serious in a second. BE VERY CAREUL WHAT YOU SAY. (That means you, Tracer!)He’s cheerful on the outside, but on the inside, quite depressed. Like, wanting-to-die-depressed, as we found out thanks to Grace’s spiked punch.
He’s not exactly… driven, anymore. He was driven by revenge for so long. He doesn’t know what drives him anymore, what compels him to do things.
8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic? Enthusiastic, usually. He loves meeting people.
9. Is he more likely to act, or to react? React, definitely.
10. Which is his default: fight or flight? Fight.
11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks? Sexual humor and pranks are his favorite things.
12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them? Not exactly. He’s… different. He was trapped in the shadow realm for so long some of the magic rubbed off on him. Now he can access his soul room at certain times, and has hallucinations. Diagnosable? Not really. Noticeable? Yes.
13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person? Getting his back carved into would just about do it I think. Also, being raped.
14. What does he fear? Losing his family, killing someone out of anger, and never finding someone to love.
15. What are his hopes or aspirations? Umm… He wants to die?
16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him? Hilariously, that he likes Hello Kitty. He can’t resist a cat in a bow and clothing.
Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents.
Father: He loves and hates him at the same time. Hates him for carving into him with a burning knife, but loves him because, well, he IS his father.
Mother: He never knew her. She died giving birth to him. He loves her very much, and has heard good things about her. He wishes he could have met her.
2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
Sister: Isis: He loves her very much, but he finds her kind of a nag at times. He knows she’s only looking out for him though.
Half-Brother: Rishid: Malik love Rishid very much, and considers him a blood relative, even though they aren’t actually related. Rishid stood by him even when he was ‘evil’, so he feels in debt to him. He just doesn’t know how to repay him.
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand? No.
4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them? No.
5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet? Malik has no ‘best friends’, but he does have Tracer, who is his ‘closest acquaintance’, that he wants to be his best friend. He thinks it’d scare the fuck out of Tracer if he called him a ‘best friend’ though.
6. Does he have other close friends? The Yugi-tachi. (Yugi and co.) They’ve kinda fallen out, but he still likes them.
7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people? He has that exterior of cheerfulness, so he attracts people, but can either scare people off with his inner personality, or hate them right off the bat.
8. Which does he consider more important: family or friends? Family.
9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has he been married more than once? Single.
10. Is he currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse? Not a mutual one (see below)
11. Who was his first crush? Who is his latest? Tracer. He’d never admit it though. He kinda likes him, but knows he’s too easy, and off limits.
12. What does he look for in a romantic partner? Appearance, forgiveness, kindness, and tolerance. Not necessarily in that order
13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does he relate to them? If no, does he want any? No, and no.
14. Does he have any rivals or enemies? Eyes. That’s self-explanatory, if you’ve seen this thread.
Gau, surprisingly, is not his rival or his enemy, just a ‘chew toy’ XD
15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does he fall on the Kinsey scale? 6. Flamingly, flamboyantly gay.
16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him? It’s like, EVERYTHING. He became addicted to it after being raped. He feels guilty that he liked it, but he loves it. Hence the fling with Tracer.
17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits? BDSM fetish. He claims he’d rather be on bottom, but that’s just because he knows that if he were on top, his partner would probably run off after being sexually abused XD
Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does he fit type? I don’t know his birth year, but he’s a Capricorn. And he’d be a typical Capricorn, if he didn’t get over the revenge thing. Capricorns have extreme motivation and stamina, but he lost his after the whole Battle City thing. He needs someone to jump-start it.
2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life? Spiritual. He’s seen ‘gods’- fought them too. He believes in ghosts and spirits, but doesn’t pray to any of them.
3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?
4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent? Pretty tolerant for the most part. There are a few exceptions *cough*Gau*cough* but not many.
5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them? Tourists. He HATES them. He hates seeing their ‘greedy little fingers’ all over the display cases at the Museum. And yet he works for the Cairo museum. Ironic, no?
Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt? Comfortable.
2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him? He used to be an illegal-trading-card-maker and murdering-ringleader. Now he’s a normal guy. Which is better? Bet you can guess which one pays more ;)
3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others? House. His sister is the former Secretary General of the Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities, a head position, so like, mucho money there, and big house is included in that. Not like, GIGANTIC, but large. Two stories.
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on? Clothes. Jewelry. Yaoi manga.
5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else? He works for the Cairo Museum. He runs errands, delivers things, and occasionally helps with translating things (over the ‘professionals’ shoulders of course). He knows the language better than anyone, but the Egyptologists there can’t help but wonder why an errand boy knows more than them. Kinda pisses them off.
Malik hates working there. Being surrounded by things that remind of his past is not as comforting to him as it is to Isis, who also works for the museum.
6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time? Reading. Reading, reading, reading! He loves it. He has many books on all subjects. He likes murder mysteries in particular.
He also participates in 4chan forums. God forbid, right?
7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods? He’s an alcoholic vegetarian. Beat that for weird combinations, bitches.
