I've let the darkness inside
Darkness keeps me safe
I want to tell you
Just exactly how I feel
But I'm afraid to
Your eye's see through me
Only you can make my heart soar
I will never tell
You've moved me in spirit
Like a mermaid on a rock
Singing your sweet song
I want to hold you
Gather you in my embrace
Feel your warmth on me
You are like the moon
You kiss away my dark tears
High in the dark sky

Pushing darkness back
