Outside the weather is frightful, but in front of my television is so delightful...
Nothing says "it's a good time to watch TV" like looking outside and seeing a blanket of snow covering everything. So peeps, what have you been watching lately? Is there anything you'd care to recommend? I've been burning through my Netflix queue and could use some suggestions.
In case you're curious, here are some recommendations based on what I've been watching:
1. Torchwood: Miracle Day Disclaimer...I'm about halfway through the season, but so far it's one of the best things I've seen in ages. I love the long story arc, which IMO allows for a richer, more complex season. It's also nice to see Gwen Cooper kick ass. It's a bit ironic that a sci-fi show features one of the most believable heroines on TV.
2. American Horror Story: Coven Yes, it's a bit over the top, but Coven is still good, creepy fun. Besides, where else can you find two huge talents like Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates in the same show?
3. Gasland A highly disturbing documentary about how fracking is fucking up the water supply.
