DIETRICH -- There's a three-way tie in the city council race in Dietrich, a small southern Idaho town, and officials say they'll determine the winner with a coin toss.
So, does anybody have a three-sided quarter?
The town's legal counsel Craig Hobdey says he's looking into whether a three-way coin flip with the odd man out will meet the city's requirement that all election ties be settled with a coin toss.
Three candidates each received 41 votes in Tuesday's municipal election for two open seats in the town of about 200 people.
Usually, the top two vote-getters would win the seats.
The double-elimination coin flip is expected to happen within the next week.
