Goodbye to Athens
Well we finally say goodbye to the 28th Olympiad and now we can return to the regularly scheduled programming on NBC.
Now all I have to look forward to is the World's Swimming Championships in October. ;o) I hope that's televised...
And I think I'm psychic. Every time they showed a video montage of the Olympics, I predicted that it would end with our dear Michael Phelps and I was right! Of course, I didn't mind one bit. ;o) And it's no wonder...the guy one 1/6 of the total gold medals won by the U.S. 8% of the total medal count for the U.S. If he was a country, he would have more medals than 175 countries...of the 202 participting countries, 23 countries won more medals than him and 4 won 8 medals just like him. He would be 11th in the gold medal count...tying Greece for the number of Gold medals won at these Olympics.
