a sigh of relief
Well, we survived the hurricane!! My family and did end up leaving. We left around 9:30 Friday morning. I woke up at 5 a.m. to start packing my stuff and my mom came into my room and shes like....what are you doing? I told her that I did not want to stay and that we should leave, so she agreed. So we started packing all of our shit up and packed everything into my moms van, my car, and my dad's truck! And we drove to kissimee where my uncles live. By the time we got up there the hurricane has changed its track and was going to go right into fort myers which was going to head to kissimee. So my uncle came in and said that we would have to go to a shelter. My mom didnt want to go because we had kujo (aka jake my doggy) with us and she didnt want to take the risk of him bitting someone. So she decided that we should go home. So we packed up all of our stuff again walked in the pouring rain with tornadoes around us and drove back. It was a very interesting day!!!!! So we barely missed the storms coming home, which was good.
So on Sunday my dad had to go back to ft. myers to get his office set up for monday. He said that they are going to be out of power for 2 weeks. So he had to buy a generator to keep his phone and computer systems up. crazyness! His apartment was okay. There wasn't really any damage to it. His window was shattered but that was it. So that's good news.
I also started skating again this week. Stupid me signs up for the ghetto ass show that sunblades is having. You know how we usually have a billion practices on and off ice before the shows and have a dress rehearsal. Well we only have 3 practices for 30 minutes each, where we get half the ice for 15 minutes ans 15 minutes on the whole ice!!!!! Its crazy!! We are only doing an opening and closing number but still. I dont know. We will just have to wait and see what will happen. And I am know where ready for my program. Its only 2 minutes and I get half way through and I am dead even though I am not doing any jumps and spins it it. UGH!! It sucks getting old and fat. Oh well!
