We did it! We did it! Wahid's back to being a god; in fact, he's one of the most powerful ones in the entire pantheon now. ....but, he had to leave. Apparently, they're not allowed to stick on this plane for too long. I think that stinks, but apparently I don't get a say in it. Figures.
Okay, let's see...what happened. It feels like forever ago. Garrett pulled another card from the Deck and promptly disappeared. That was too bad, but I'm kinda surprised it didn't happen sooner. We came across a couple of really great people right afterwards, though. They helped us get around to where we needed to be in the Underdark.
The city was dead dead dead....and it was driving me nuts. I kept giggling at nothing, and I felt TERRIBLE. But we had to find the Oracle, so we pressed on. There a lot of squid-faced ghosts. They tried to freak us out, but after I pointed out that I had a sword that could hit them, they backed off. Really quickly, actually. That was actually funny, so I guess its okay I laughed at that.
We found the Oracle we needed to see. It was a giant gross brain. :-P It wasn't very polite, either- I like it better when they're rats. Anyway, it told us where we needed to go to stop this Divine Nullifier thing from being used, and that we had three days.
We gathered a lot of armies in that time- I guess they believed us when we told them the Fate of the Planes depended on it. Good thing for us. The city of Shade had armies and dragons freakin' everywhere. We let ours and theirs battle, and the rest of us (minus Wahid, of course) went to the temple to stop the ritual that was supposed to destroy Wahid. We got in there and...man, there were FOUR demi-gods in there. The fight kinda sucked, but considering I wasn't expecting to survive it, I guess it turned out okay. Our new friend made with the good burny magic, as well as several other things that worked in our favor. I made my way over to the ritual, found the guy most likely to be moving it along and did what I do best- hit him with my swords. That seemed to work quite nicely, as he was interrupted and then bleeding badly. Gedwin managed to make his way over to the little silver ball that was causing so much trouble. Once he had it, it stopped being a threat to Wahid. So the battle quickly turned then.
After everyone was taken care of, the other gods showed up. Coulda used you there a few minutes before that, guys. Oh, well. They told us that to destroy the Nullifier, someone had to go with it...someone had to sacrifice themselves. Gedwin volunteered for that. I probably should've, but....well, I have a lot more work to do on this plane still for Wahid, especially since he's not exactly here anymore. Or maybe I just didn't want to die. I don't know. Anyway, Gedwin's sacrifice was very important to me. I'll have to thank him excessively when I finally end up kicking the bucket.
So now I'm the spokesperson for Wahid here. I guess I always was, but...I dunno, I feel pretty alone. Like I'm the Girl in Charge here now, and I don't really know if I'm up for the job. I think I'm annoying Wahid with how much I'm praying to him, but....I miss him, you know? Anyway, I'm doing my best. I'm sure I'll get the hang of it here someday.
But now I have to go work on that, so I probably won't be around much...not like I have been lately, anyway. Sorry about that. Once things settle down a bit (Ha), I'll be back and lazing around with the best of 'em. Wish me luck!
