Pete couldn't stand himself.
Pete doesn't like the way he acts around the band, doesn't like the way he spends hours in front of the mirror before he goes out, like some kind of girl. He doesn't like how he never gains weight enough to fill out his legs and arms, or how he'll only drink wine coolers and only when no one else has them. He hates how irrationally angry he gets at Joe when Joe calls him girly, no matter how much Pete agrees with him. He hates how addicted to sex and power he is, taking groupies back to the bus and kicking them out only hours after they fall asleep from exhaustion. Pete hates how much Patrick makes him want to change.
Patrick with his sideburns and his hat and his sexy mouth. Patrick with obsession with video games. Patrick with his morals and strict code of only getting drunk once a month unless they were on tour. Patrick with his Patrick-y-ness.
Just... Patrick.
Patrick was the one thing in Pete's life he could count on. No matter how many groupies he took to bed, no matter how much time he spent in the bathroom, no matter how angry he got at anyone that called him girly, Pete never gave up on Patrick, 'cause Pete loved Patrick more than Pete valued his own life.
Patrick was kind and sweet and gentle and soft-spoken most of the time. He could laugh a laugh that made everyone smile or laugh with him. Patrick knew just what to say, even if he claimed he wasn't good with words, and Patrick was just an all-around nice guy that Pete wouldn't soon forget. Pete wouldn't *ever* forget.
Patrick with his constant dieting and exercising, thinking he's too chubby to be anything worth looking at, which was completely the opposite. Patrick with his hogging the game controller even when it was way past his turn. Patrick with his thoughtless loving, the kind that can leave you heartbroken.
Pete loved Patrick nonetheless.
And with Pete being Pete and Patrick being Patrick, Pete couldn't just stand around and allow Patrick to mess up everything just because of his insecurities. With Pete being Pete and Patrick being Patrick, Pete was gonna take the challenge of making Patrick love him full on.
Because Pete was one stubborn motherfucker.
-->End.
A/N: Mah... I didn't like this as much as the last one. I'm writing one more to make some sort of trilogy, one where Pete actually puts his money where his mouth is. So should I continue writing that third part or give up here? Review, please.
