I dont know if I am more pissed off or disturbed at my room mate .
If your child was leaving for 2 years and you loved them, regaurdless for why they were leaving, you would love them and maybe not support them to the extent of which they were going, but be there for them. Like go to their going away party or show up at the farewell...
Well this is the problem my really good friend Ian Greenlee is having. He is going on a mission to Mexico. His mom is mormon, dad is not. His dad didnt show up at either thing for him and might not even go to the airport to say goodbye to him. My family and theirs knows that he doesnt believe in the things that we do, but if you arent going to see you son/daughter for 2 years, wouldnt you want to say goodbye to him/her?
Well I told my room mate about this b/c Ian, his, mom, brother, and all of my family are upset about this. And Ian was upset and crying about it, so it made me upset and cry to see him hurt like that. So after I talk to Ian about this I tell my room mate, she goes... "Well I wouldnt support or show up either, if he was my son..."
I first of all didnt say you had to support him ... you wouldnt have to support them BUT YOU WOULD WANT TO SAY GOODBYE. And if you really loved them you would support them. Thats what love it.
But my room mate is also a calous bitch, so whatever...
