I'm good for another ten years, at least.
So last night I dragged Apollo's little x-pen to the "car wash station" (a water hose) at our apartment complex to clean it. I brought some Ajax cleaner and a wire brush. The thing was nasty. So I'm scrubbing and rinsing, scrubbing and rinsing... and I stick myself in the index finger with a bristle off of this nasty, rust covered brush. Bleeding slightly. My finger turned blue almost instantly. I rinsed it off as best I could until I could get to the house and look at it/clean it.
I scrubbed the rust and yuck off of my hand. It wasn't too bad, but it was a RUSTY WIRE BRUSH. I put some Neosporin and a band aid on it and didn't think much of it. This morning, I decided to call the doctor because I couldn't remember when the last time was that I had a tetanus shot. The doctor's office didn't have any of the vaccine so they sent me to the health department. I went in at 8:45 this morning and got an expensive $38 tetanus shot. My arm's just a little tender, but luckily I won't be getting lockjaw! I'm praying there won't be any bruising or anything since I'm wearing a strapless bridesmaids' dress at the wedding this weekend.
Oh yeah... Tomorrow I leave for Virginia for Joy's wedding! :)
