Okay.
I was thinking about making my movie 'real' and shite... but now I'm not so sure. I want it to be real in the sense that it's incredibly relatable. But I'm not sure if I want all the conversations and characters to be "realistic" ... I think it'd be more effective if I made them sort of extreme.
Because the majority of the film takes place in the protagonists mind right? And certain things are always magnified (and sometimes reduced) about a persons personality when viewed by someone else. For example, in my mind, when I'm annoyed with my mom, her scrunchy 'I'm-squinting-cuz-don't-understand/like-what-your-saying' look is extreeemely batlike and scary. As opposed to when she does it when I'm in a neutral mood.
I dunno ... it makes sense in my head.
