Two people meet and fall in love. They decide to get married and swear their lives together. Now say these to people beat the 50% chance of failure because they truly do love each for better or worse. It's true love and let's say they make 30-40 years into the future. Is there anything that can pull these two lovebirds apart? Well, I found it.
There is a smell associated with head and neck cancer. It's a rotting from the inside smell. It's vile, and it's nauseating. I am not talking about brain cancer, and I'm sorry if I offend anyone whose experienced it. My concern with it, is it's high degree of preventability (my own word). Main causes include smoking and drinking, and to some extent the STD, human papillomavirus. It's also very curable when caught early.
My point here, is I have found my breaking point, I have watched a wife do every care for a dying husband as stench of rot filled the room, and if it's preventable, it will not be me. I told him this, and just as frankly, "Keep smoking, get this cancer, and I won't be around long enough for the first round of chemo/radiation."
Does this sound cruel? Or have I already started to harden by being surrounded by dying all the time.
Soon to come: Cervical cancer, get your pap or you might die. Seriously.
