Okay, wait.
Boh Runga has a new album, and Serj Tankian turns up on one song?
That combination intrigues me, as she's got this smooth pop-rocker voice, and he's great at growling metal harmonies. I want to hear it, although what I'd really like is some bizarre writing and singing collaboration.
(Or collaboration between her sister Bic and Serj, because metal harmonica would be awesome.)

I've tried Last FM once more. Although I'm finding that it's a great temptation to become anal retentive. I've now rated every last one of my songs, and corrected names of a few others.
Have determined that my top rated genres of music are:
- Musicals
- Old-school rock
- Comedy songs
- Just plain beautiful
Of course, the best kind are the ones that overlap.
(I doubt the existence of a beautiful and comedic old-school rock musical... unless it's that one where I watched Jay Laga'aia wrestle with his inner torment and the torture scene was illustrated by a spectacular green laser lightshow and at least ten minutes' worth of dramatic counting. Also, Mark Hadlow and Margaret Urlich. It was sort of genius and awful at the same time, if that's even possible.
Yes, I rather think that works. And my eight year old self adored it. Maybe that's where I get my bad taste from?)

Also, I kind of like the sound of Minuit. They're much punchier than the last band I heard with similar sound, which is always good.
I'm hoping to check out Real Groovy later. There should be specials of some kind, hopefully.
music is magic
