They announced the result of the Turner Prize on telly; Grayson Perry won. I was quite taken with his acceptance speech, complete with apropos Philip Larkin quote which unfortunately couldn't be uttered since it was pre-watershed.
Am not a great fan of ceramics, and it would have been nice if the Chapman brothers had won, but I suspect these things are probably like the Oscars, in which they'll win eventually in belated recognition for the work they've done in the past.
Perry's dress was fabulous, Little Miss Muffett crossed with a slightly seedy Alice through the Looking Glass.
In other news, I have no bloody hot water. The boiler's packed up and fuck knows when it'll be fixed. The joys of living in a subsiding Victorian house in which everything breaks eventually.
I should take this opportunity to say a well-overdue thank you to Davey for some of my amazing icons. The rest are my own cack-handed attempts at navigating Paintshop Pro and not knowing what the hell I'm doing. Anyway, thank you, little demon.
