It has, apparently, been a week since I gave you that ultimatum with a week's flex time, Phil. Your options for returning my DVDs to me are now reduced to handing them off to Lori to hand to me, which I want to happen in this NEXT week's time. If that doesn't happen, I'll see what it is I can do to get Police involved.
It seems that, somehow, you couldn't immediately grasp why I was pissed off, so as long as I'm here, I may as well spell it out.
You call me to hang out on Monday. I set the entire day aside for spending with you. You call at 9:00pm to reschedule for Saturday.
I set the entire day of Saturday aside for spending with you. You call me at 7:50pm wanting to catch an 8:20(pm)ish movie, and I decline because of the hour. You then reschedule for the following Friday.
SUNDAY, I learn from my wonderful girlfriend that you have described my behavior as antisocial, and made the claim that you had told me what time you wanted to hang out. Both of which are bullshit statements, for a couple of reasons. If you had mentioned what time you had in mind I would've been able to tell you IMMEDIATELY that it wouldn't work, because I've ALWAYS liked to be home within that timeframe. For the one, a daily chat with Lori, and for the two, because I can be dead tired anywhere from that hour on.
But the real punch to the crotch is your use of the term "antisocial" to describe me, because I didn't meet your schedule. That statement wasn't for any other reason, Phil. After having set aside two whole daylight periods specifically for hanging out with you only to have you pull out or call at the last minute, you call me antisocial. It's my own damn personal preference to not go out at those hours. Much like, oh, I don't know, it's your preference to not go drinking. Which, as I recall, Scatena called you antisocial about, which we both agreed was crap.
I'm not going to put up with your pissing and moaning when people are themselves outside of your expectations and demands. I see no reason to stand for being insulted after having set aside as much time for you as I did. In the words of one of the more prominent voices of our time, "Up yours, chump."
P.S.
The E3 Sony Media Summit was important to me. You have your Pombo, I have my Games, and I like to stay up-to-date on them. I didn't like hearing how you were moaning about me choosing my press conference over talking to you, especially considering that it was the day after I had told you I was pissed. I'm not going to change my priorities for you, Phil, stop expecting it from people.
