Wherein Mal lists and rates some of the stuff she's been reading, for those who may be interested. I'll just add to this list, from the top, when I finish something new and then put up a new post linking back to it.

Hello, I havd alrady recommended an online author before (Andrea Speed), but suddenly it occurred to me that when recommending online authors, I should not forget two of my favourites: Ann Sommerville, at her website logophilos.net, and maculategiraffe, in livejournal.

Ann Sommerville has a ton of phantasy stories, including an entire universe (Pindone), with stories covering various epochs and civilisations in that universe, and several one-shot stories. Most are slash, but not X-rated.

Maculategiraffe has one very well developed universe, The Slavebreakers, which is extremely X-rated. The story unfolds in a country where beautiful adolescents are sold by their parents to be pleasure slaves. The stories in that universe are more or less concluded - and I won't tell the end in order not to spoil the experience. She has recently started a new universe, the daughterverse, based on the premise that the Salem witches survived and a new matriarchal civilisation developed from that moment in history. The male-female role reversal is beautifully described, with the added difference that women have fully developed magical powers.
