You say ANBU, I say Anbu...
Just a few quick questions relating to our favorourite squad of masked Shinobi. I thought I'd try it on my own LJ before rousting the communities.
. Is it ANBU or Anbu?
. If it's ANBU, what does that stand for? Hell, what does Anbu mean if it's not an acronym.
. Is the tattoo we occasionally see on Kakashi something an Anbu gets? I saw that suggested on several info sites. Which is extremely indiscreet. No secret services in the world allows their members to tattoo something like SEAL an' lovin' it! or Don't mess with the SAS! or I *heart* Mossad! on their bodies...but moving on...
. Does anyone actually know where the Anbu and their purpose are explained in the manga or anime? Where does all this info (that they're a secret assassination/defence squad, tattoos, etc.) come from?
I may have more questions eventually. It seems the right time to ask these questions, what with two Anbu-related fics in the works ^^; Help poor Mal write her fics without too many bloopers :P
