Great chapter, as always. I loved the sequel scene to Wufei's confession in the previous chapter--Duo working out his rage and betrayal with a fight, and then his unexpected forgiveness. Poor Wufei is considerably off-balance right now, and I suspect that Duo is, too.
Now, on to the nitpicks...this chapter was pretty clean. Just a couple of things:
There were dozens of Trolls working on machineries,
machinery doesn't pluralize like that. It would be more correct to say "assorted machines" or "various pieces of machinery."
but some of them were 'just people', as Duo had put it, visibly puzzled highly unusual for pirates, hoods or 'just people'.
Okay, this may be a US versus British/Canadian punctuation rule, but if you're following US grammar rules (which I assume you are, based on how you're punctuating dialogue), commas and periods go inside single-quote marks.
The difference between these two guys is that Wufei hates being off-balance, while Duo thrives on it :P But yeah, it's going to be prickly for awhile, yet it's still moving forward.
...I don't know what I was smoking when I wrote in machineries. Whatever it was, I must have shared it with my spellchecker. *fixes* As for which rules of grammar/punctuation I follow...um, what day are we today? I've lived for years in the US, in the UK and in Canada (with a few decades in France) so I tend to careen from one to the other like a drunk driver going down hairpin bends ^_^; In this instance, the quotes are to indicate that it's directly quoting Duo, so I don't think the punctuation goes in there in that case...? It didn't look right when I tried it.

Being, um, very German myself and therefore possessing a bone-deep aversion to chaos, I have to say that my sympathies are with poor, orderly-minded Wufei here. I love reading about Freeport, but I'm afraid actually having to live there would make my head go 'splodey. *g*

Yowza! That's amazing! And, uh, I spent a bit too long staring at Wufei's leather pants and forgot what else I was going to say about this ^_^;;; Much love, I do like the picture indeed.

Great chapter. I , As always, like the flow of your stories. Though there´s one thing which has been bothering me for a while: Freeport. I would so much like to see story unfold once again, this time starting where you left Duo and Wufei in Freeport preparing for some clarity on L2. I guess a huge task, maybe even more complicated that Freeport was. Nonetheless would you consider writing a sequel to Freeport?

Alas, I don't think I've got enough inspiration for GW left anymore (or for much of anything, really). And that would be a huge undertaking. Though interesting, because I would love to walk down Freeport's streets once more and explore it a little better...
I absolutely adore this story!! It is definitely one of my all-time, top five favourites on the web!! It's so well-written and the setting is so beautifully created and fleshed out. ^_^
Just a little minor typo: "You think I can dig them up all on my lonesome [self]?" Think you forgot the self at the end.
Anyway, I just love this sooo much that I'm downloading it and saving it for whenever!
