Next chapter. My work has gone mental as everybody tries to clean up loose ends before the end of the year (merry f$*%$ Christmas). This...this is getting even more interesting by the chapter, especially with the last part, its like watching situational and cultural Stockholm Syndrome or something(if that makes any sense at all ( ... )

Really scraping the bottom of the barrel here for typos... XD

Monique Desjean somehow expected Duo to repair them, perhaps by a laying of hands and a prayer.
=>probably "a laying on of hands"

Not a typo, but:
"I'd rather talk to you," said Basil, eyes flinching away from where Wufei had started to innocently toy with the tassels on his sword's hilt.

This makes my little artist heart very happy, because I actually considered the matter but thought he'd be all minimalist here for some reason. (When I had to draw a tassel the other day I made it non-Freeport...though my subconscious kept insisting some piles of junk would look good in the background.)

This sentence made me laugh uproariously the first time I read it. And the second time too.

The tassels were from the anime I believe, which is why I'd put them there, but I'm wondering if he might have removed them for the Freeport trip. So much grime...

It's true too! XD Subconscious would have won if I had a little more room to work with.

I suppose removal would be prudent before doing anything sneaky, but I quite like the visual of orange or red tassel(s), the only bright spot of color in the frame, bouncing next to Wufei's ear as they run through grimy streets.
