GW Fic: Freeport part 5 (rewrite_

Got the kid literally swinging off one arm (11kg, jeeeeesus) and because my S.O. and I found our lives too dull *snort* we've decided to suddenly up and move house. Someone shoot me now. Freeport chapters will be a little delayed as result. Typo spotting etc still much appreciated! I don't want to do this rewrite again in a few months ^^;

LOL! That is indeed an odd point to pick up. But in the name of scientific and ichthyological precision, I'm glad you pointed it out! Though pilchards doesn't have quite the same ring...Do mackerel swim in shoals?

Question, though: I remember how concerned both Duo and Wufei were about Heero and his happiness. Did you put any thought into what ended up happening to him? The thought of Heero continuing on the way he was always made me sad when I reread this.

No, I don't think this fic will ever have a continuation, much less that one. In my mind, Trowa took it upon himself (now that he's squared away Wufei and Duo) to get Heero taken care of in the most direct way, by hooking up with him. But then while I was posting later chapters, years ago, some readers started making this weird suggestion that Heero might run into Mako and sparks would fly and yeah...that's totally Wrong but in a very chemistry-inducing way...I leave it up to the imagination of others :P

*laughs* No, of course not. I'm just pleased it's being updated -- not to mention you've had to state multiple times that you're just updating. I just wanted to know what happened, wasn't expecting a fic. ;) As long as the all-knowing author believes he was taken care of in one form or another, I'm content enough. It's one thing to decide what happens in your head, but it's much better to have official confirmation -- at least, if it's good. Whew.

Although I think I prefer Trowa taking care of him because he'd understand him better, I have to admit the idea of he and Mako is... interesting. XD

Also, while not a typo, it caught my eye:

his sword's point still a tenth of an inch

You metricated an imperial unit. Normally inches are broken down into quarters, eighths and sixteenths, not tenths. This isn't really a big deal, but I work in building construction, so it niggled me.

As a detail freak I have to butt in here - tenths are used a lot in the UK, as well as all the other lovely divisions a duodecimal system is capable of

Wow...it's been foreve since I read a Gundam Wing fic...and re-reading this only makes me fall in love again with it!! I might just have to go back to gwaddiction for a little nostalgic reading (aka The Arrangement, Nil By Mouth-which is pobably one of may favorite pick-me-up fics, and probably more of Freeport because it is just that awesome of a fic!!). I hope you don't mind, but I would like to friend you!! I've been kinda lurking through LJ for a while, although recently just joined with my very own journal. I'm a huge Naruto fan, and will probably pick up One Piece because I see you write fanfiction for it.
