This story is like crack, so addictive!

and it's so real.

Thanks to you I'm now a Lee/Gaara fan. I can't wait for the next chapter(s)!

This was a beautiful chapter. I loved it.

i was seriously suffering from diplomatic relations withdrawal over the weekend, but now i'm okay ^^ i've never seen an author get so much adoration art :) it's all very lovely and very inspiring, i bet. and yeah, lj was *rolls eyes*

i like how you handled the events in this chapter and knew that it just wouldn't have been right if you'd split it up to make it easier for you. long chapters are fine, as long as you're the one writing them ;) you're not a predictable writer; so many fics follow the same structure or formula and yours doesn't-this is my favorite ongoing naruto fic, period, whether it be het or yaoi, drama or romance. you could write a story about lee and gaara making valentines day cards or baking cakes and i'd still buy it.

Lol, it IS very inspiring. *hoards pretty pictures and purs*

you could write a story about lee and gaara making valentines day cards or baking cakes and i'd still buy it.

...That'd be a challenge, mind you. I don't do fluffy-cute very well. Unless someone got killed by papercut while making the cards, I'd be hard pressed to write that :P

I'm glad I'm not predictable ^_^ Because hell, 90% of any fandom reads like the same five stories over and over again...and the same over several fandoms too. I try to follow what I think the characters would do, and give it my own twist. It's not always easy, but it's so much more rewarding than using cliches ^_^

UWAH. o_o the tension. wow. great imagery like always and so much in the balance for each word and EEE KISSIES it's going to be two steps forward, a step back from here, won't it? KISSIES!!! But at least now Gaara knows what's going on. Now, i'm not sure if he UNDERSTANDS... *rolls in angst and misunderstandings and issues*

I liked the guard being worried at the beginning. They're really warming up to Lee, aren't they ^____^ maybe in ten or twenty years they'll think of him as another sand shinobi. XD

kissies. awwwwwww.

I think you liked the kissies. I could be mistaken though.

(Just between you and me - and anyone else who might catch this comment - I just finished writing one of the upcoming chapters. It leaves kissies faaaaar behind :P Mal's lemon bunny is back, baby!!)

Definitely a few steps backwards and forwards in the next few chapters, but they will move pretty steadily. Gaara's got issues as big as a house, but he's also got Lee ^_^

Yeah I think Gaara got a clue this chapter. ^_^

Really beautiful work in how they are getting closer together.

I loved Lee's last line in this. =D

Thanks, glad you liked it! And yes, Gaara finally got his clue. It was delivered pretty forcibly, too :P

Whoa. That was powerful. I've been sitting here on my comp chair, a knee pulled up, both arms around it, and a hand over my lower face, which has been in a constant wince ( ... )

And the little details--remember that that was what his uncle had said and so forth--were fantastic. I commend your research. ;)

Oh yes. It was arduous. I had to reread the manga so many times. Pity me.

Lol, I'm glad it tracked. That's important to me, to keep the scenes and evolution of the characters in line with what I established. It was pretty brutal to write, but I just took what I wrote previously on his reactions, and upped them to the power of three. I'm glad the language worked too ^__^ I spent sooooo long on this chapter, writing it and then polishing it so it shined. It's the turning-point chapter, I sort of wanted it to stand out!
