No DR this weekend, I'm still working on the upcoming chapters to make sure I know where I'm going. Instead, here's a fic that I've been working on, a paragraph at a time for the last month or more. Another LeeGaara. Enjoy ^_

Loved fighting Shukaku with Gai speeches! And talking to the gourd. And the affection demonstrated by the Shinobi and the villagers. I'll let others say more; just wanted to tell you how much I love you. Again...

I'm surprised that Shukaku didn't run screaming from the Gai-sensei speeches. I love Gai, and I feel like fleeing them ^^;

Ok, I was going to quote the parts I found awesome or just too adorable for words, but... well, I don't think you're supposed to leave comments almost as long as the fic. -_-; I loved the whole thing. The part with Gaara and Lee in the hospital, the part with Lee and Shukaku, and then Gaara saving Lee ::wibbles, the part at the end... see what I mean? Too much to go about quoting. Although one of my favorite lines was probably when Lee asked if Gaara was ordering him as a husband or a kazeage so he'd know if he should reply with "sir". That made me laugh out loud.

I'm quite happy with the way Shukaku turned out ^_^ I wanted him to be distinctive, creepy, and a good foil for Lee. I think he works quite well that way! Glad you liked the fic!

I love your GaaLee marriage drabbles. They're so good. I loved this one. It had practically everything. And i liked your representation of Shukakuu. My favorite was when Gaara was in bed, clobbering everything that made noise w/ his sand, and Lee being Lee. Great drabble.

Strangely enough, the ending sort of wrote itself as an afterthought. I'd gotten Lee to save Gaara's mind, then Gaara to save Lee from Shukaku...end of story...then in my mind, I imagined Gaara with standard flue symptoms and how impossible it would be to take care of someone as powerful as Gaara if he ever got taht sick and miserable, and ta-dah! ^_^ Glad you liked it!

“Do I want to fool around with an evil demon wearing a copy of my husband's body while I'm in Gaara's head?” Lee asked, just to clarify.

The idea... XDDD IS SO CRAZY!!! Hahahaah!! Actually somewhere between the middle part of the chapter I thought - "Will there be smex??" Cuz smex makes colds go away faster you know :DDD

Anyways, I LOVED EVERYTHING! Amazing and perfect and Lee and Gaara were so cute ^-^ Especially the last part!

When I have a cold, smex of any description is the furthest thing from my mind. It's more like 'touch me and die, and then I'll dribble snot on you too' sort of attitude. Poor Lee ^_^

THis fic did turn out a whole lot cuter than I anticipated. This is rather rare for me. But I don't mind; a litle cute from time to time never hurt anybody. Glad it made you happy ^_^ I like doing that.

The bit about the horses' hooves is something that used to be done when someone important was very sick (or dead), somewhere or other in Europe (I can't remember where I heard of this now...)

Sick!Gaara had even me wanting to reach over and give him a cuddle, which is a frightening thought and doesn't say much for my survival instincts...but he's so cuuuuute *whimper and dies in Desert Coffin*
