It's been two years almost to the day since I posted the first chapter of my first fanfic (anyone remember Two Halves?) Since then, I've written something like 1,310,000 words, which averages around 1800 words a day (this useless statistic brought to you by mm.org, which has a 'number of words' count, as well as dates chapters were posted; the only story not included in this total is Darkside Tales, because I only ever posted that on GWAddiction).
Conclusion Number One: If I'd spent that time/effort on ofic instead of fanfic, I could have written one of those doorstop fantasy series that overweigh the bookshelves in Chapters.
Conclusion Number Two: I can't seem to really care about Conclusion Number One. This is a hobby. I had fun. It's all good ^_^
Conclusion Number Three (the Inevitable One): Mal needs a life.

[EDIT: Just a quick note in response to a couple of comments; I only posted this because it's been two years since I started writing and I got curious to know how many words that was. Sort of a birthday thing. Yes, it's true Mal needs a life. No, she has no intention of going out and getting one ^_^ I'm writing a bit less now than when I started, true, but I'm still writing, and probably always will, never fear]
