There is nothing more I like than a band that embraces my favourite sport. One of Kasabian's songs was well known to me well before I knew who they were. The game "Pro Evolution Soccer 5" featured
this song as the intro song / theme music as can be seen
here. Furthermore if you go on national television and pull this off then you deserve high praise from any football fan.

But as I'm so casually reminded by
alivicwil who is marking some geography assignments I'm supposed to be writing an entry about music, not football. *looks over to the football fans with an eyeroll* "can't it be both?!"
Fiiiiiine
I've generally always liked the British Indie Rock category of music. I won't say I know of lot of it but almost everything I've heard I like. It started with Blur and it's continuing with Kasabian! Their newest album
West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum saw some seriously good tunes reach the public ear.
Where did all the love go? Fire and
Vlad the Impaler are three brilliant tracks on a great album. When I was convinced to come to the Big Day Out next year I was VERY pleased to see theses guys on the line up. It'll be the second time they've played at the BDO, the first being in 2007 where they apparently but not unexpectedly got some great reviews and their popularity soared in their aussie fan base. These guys will be a must see for me on the day!
Peace.
