Hello everyone.
Well it's been a week since i've properly made an entry here. During that week I played in our teams Grand Final and we won. It was a really good night and I'm extremely pleased with my contribution to the team and the result. If all goes to plan that means Our team will be promoted into 2nd division. This kind of makes us very hot property as far as recruitment for next seasons team goes. We have a guy on our team called Jimmy and he's a great bloke but he really lacks the competitive drive required for the higher divisions. If we lose Jimmy then we have the bare 6 people covered for the team, the maximum you can have is 9. We would like 7 ideally. With the state trials coming up and the success of the team this season I am considering buying another cue. I stopped playing pool 2 years ago after my car was broken into and the only thing taken from it was my cue, my pride and joy at the time. It was worth about £400 or AU$1000 so I was really bummed.
It was a fantastic cue from a world class cue maker based in what I guess I would call South West London. The maker was John Parris. For any of you who know anything about pool/snooker the name
Ronnie O'Sullivan is nothing new. Anyways the point being that Ronnie has had John Parris personally make cues for him throughout his carreer so you can understand the quality of the cue that was stolen from my car.
So after browsing the cues available on
their website I came to a decision to buy the model they call the "Professional"
PROFESSIONAL

It's going to take me a while to save for it but I'm hoping that I might have it for a christmas present for myself.
Other goings on this past week include a massive talk with Ciera. I asked if we could have a chat about what happens after she leaves. It was a pretty intense talk i thought. We both agreed that It's better to split on good/great terms considering both of us know that it will be a few years before the possibility of seeing each other again arises. That way if we're both single and it works for both of us we might get back together. I been having this really huge gut feeling that i might be trying to trick myself into believing that Ciera leaving isnt going to hit me hard. For all the misgivings I may have had about her a few months back, the relationship as it stands is at a great point and I will be quite upset at her leaving I think.
The past week has also required some of my attention devoted to Nick's relationship problems. He and Ganymede seem to be suffering a slow drawn out relationship. Like there isnt anything wrong with the relationship apart from the fact that it isnt going anywhere. They are just together. I dont think that is sitting well with Nick. He is a bit of a go getter and the recent attention he's been receiving from a chick that we play netball with isnt helping his relationship with G. Not that he's tempted by this other chick, but it's highlighting the fact that he feel that he wants to be able to ask another girl out. I mean the attention he's getting is a confidence booster and Nick has his 5 year plan set out for him and I think he feels that Ganymede isnt on the same page/ pace as him. He and I are driving back to goulburn tomorrow morning and we're having a big discussion about it then.
In Milan news Maldini made his 900th appearance for AC Milan. Unfortunately it was a loss - and us losing and Inter winning meant that they got the Scudetto. The other pity was it was 2 mistakes from him which kinda lost the game. Ah well it happens to the best of them. And he IS the best of them. Two more games and he retires. I really dont know how i'll deal with this. He's being playing professional football for as long as I've been alive.
To all my football loving friends here on LJ I'd love to get some pic spam happening of Maldini as we count down the days to his retirement.
My new job working at Subway took a turn for the better with the owner opting to give me more nightshifts rather than the crazy / hectic lunchtime shifts which are a pain in the penis. And one of the duty managers plays world of warcraft and she was delighted to hear that I play(ed) as well. My warcraft accounts are still active but going back there will seal my fate as an overweight gamer dude for life.
University is going really well. It's right at the point where the next few weeks are going to be a shit storm of assessments and report writing but I enjoy those times because I actually get motivated to study.
So the term NEXUS has cropped up a few times recently and i'm begginning to think that my life is coming to a nexus very soon. I'd say in 9 months my life will be completely different to what it is now. It brings a sense of excitement and also more than a hint of trepidation. If all works out the way I want it I'll have taken life by the horns and directed it where JOE MOTHERFUCKING STEPHENS wants it to go.
Remember the name.
Forever Milan.
