In The year before I started grad school, Doc forced me to watch the first season of the new Doctor Who. It got me interested enough that I decided for reasons that are no longer quite clear that I should watch the entire series. Or, at least, as much of the series as was available to be seen on DVD.
I finished that task tonight. From "The Unearthly Child" to "The End of Time," I have now seen every single episode currently available on Region 1 DVD, as well as the entirety of the spin-off Torchwood (I haven't made it to The Sarah Jane Adventures yet). That's 47 years of television.
Except, I discover with a laugh and a groan, that isn't true. Three serials--Frontier in Space, Planet of the Daleks, and the special edition of Remembrance of the Daleks--just dropped today. And who knows? Perhaps the next round will be out by the time I finish getting those from netflix.
But nevertheless, something that grew into a surprisingly large chapter of my life ended today. I feel like I should have something to say, and I do, but I don't have the time right now and who knows? Maybe I never will.
Whoa. I can't believe I watched the whole thing.
