So finally the 2008 season of Nascar 1 Formula 1 is underway. Lets start by a short note to Monty aka Juan Pablo Montoya, the driver who's got more liver than brain! Dear Juan, sad that you left so early, Mosley has decided to consider your comment that F1 was boring, a bit too seriously. Now that there is no traction control, electronic aides et al, its bound to become all that eventful!
IMFHO Mosley is a retard, he can go direct the guys riding their bicycles in Tour de France to stop pedalling so hard, all for the love of Global Warming. The distinction between F1 and the feeder series like Champ Car et al has been that the cars in F1 have always been way too advanced/powerful and precise. There's no fucking reason why the traction control and electronic aids be removed from an F1 car.
Yes it becomes more challenging for a driver if the aids are removed, the boys do get separated from men, but then the glory is lost. Those powerful V12s were much more delightful to watch, the precision of 2007 F1 cars was awesome even though it was monotonous/boring to watch the entire race. 2008 Oz GP felt like there were a bunch of kids playing around in 2002 Minardis!
Formula 1 is the pinnacle of motorsports, its not another fucking edition of Extreme Games, we have plenty of those being telecast on ESPN. F1 is about racing the machines, i just don't understand how a driver can race competitively if he doesn't feel safe enough while pushing the car to the limit. Wonder whats next on Mosley's agenda, maybe merging of Champ Car and F1, giving it a brush of Nitrous boosts in the form of extra unlocked BHPs.
The only positive out of the race today was that the problem of backmarkers was completely eliminated, yeah there were no fucking backmarkers. I wonder how things will be in Monaco!
