When a Loser Feels Like a Winner (Smile's Not Fading)

I met you like I said right outside my house. It was not so late, just a quarter after 12. We were such renegades with smiles like fools. This whole plan was so petty, but we made it sound so cool. You took my hand and dragged me down the block as I hurried behind you like a jackass cause I had no socks on. I thought this was just to say hi, as a nice way of saying our goodbyes.

But instead, but instead. We made it mesmerizing. But instead, but instead. It was quite alluminating.

As a nice payback I tackled you to the ground. So playful and cheerful as we rolled all around. But the neighbor down the street's dog started barking up a storm; so we picked ourselves up and ran just a little more. This was too important to us to worry about that thing inside. So as you kept going I called back and made you sit and this very site. Where I told you to stop and lay down with me. Where I grabbed you by your waist and told you not to leave me.

Like I said, like I said. We made it mesmerizing. Like I said, like I said. It was quite alluminating. I have pictures laid planted inside my head of this time that I promised I'd never forget. It made me feel like I was almost there in the screen at the movie theatre kissing the girl at the end.

We looked at each other for about 10 more minutes. And I swear those were the fastest 600 seconds I've ever visioned. Cause it was so beautiful with your hand placed in mine, and that smile you gave that made me feel just fine. After all of the stress that took place in the past, it wore off so quickly as we made our contact. Glittering, I swear I felt it from the sky as the fireworks went off inside of our minds. It was a quarter before 1 while we laid and fell asleep. It was a quarter after 1 and we were just supposed to meet.
