Finally... Exactly one month after arriving here, I finally have internet access. Short recap on what happened to me during my first month here:
- I gained 15 pounds!!! AWARD! I know this to be accurate because on my first week here, I went to Macy's and stepped on their bathroom scales on display. I was still a glorious 135 pounds. And I just went back there recently and the scales said I'm 150 pounds! FWEH!
- So.... I dragooned David into bringing me to the nearest 24Hour Fitness last Saturday. I'm glad I did. I was surprised at the way david bargained for my membership fee. He reminded me of the tinderas at the wet markets back in Manila. Haggle Fatale talaga ito! Suko ang egoy na membership consultant! I'm now a proud member of my old employer's biggest competitor in Asia. Serves them right for not expanding into the North America.
- The first time I REALLY went clubbing was last Friday. Drinks cost around 7 dollars each. Not bad if you compare it to the rising prices of alcohol in Manila. David limited me to 4 drinks... I haggled my way to 5... shows you who's the better haggler. HAH! Anyway, somehow, clubbing feels different without seeing rkr777, legally_bald, sodanglonely, ragnarokette, tiupumps, and car2un there. In fact, besides David and his friends, I don't know anyone there at all which feels kinda weird.
- Haven't even stolen a single puff since I got here. I feel my lungs getting healthier. And I also blame it for my drastic weight gain! Oh well, ganun talaga.
- Lastly, this is the first Holidays I've spent away from my family. Sad. It's also the first holidays I've spent away from my friends. Sadder. Thank God it's my first holiday living in with my boyfriend. Happy. But seriously... I miss all of you. I'll see most of you Holidays 2006. And aznpoptart, you better be here on April. MWAH MWAH!!!
