I feel like some pictures (these will eat your soul if you have dial-up, so beware)...

Arionna dances in the silly string

This is the cutest picture ever in the whole history of the world

Jozalyn smiles at daddy

Arionna tried on her pretty dress for mom and dad's wedding, and I told her to pose and she jutted out her hip like this. Hello, America's Next Top Model.

I love this picture.

I also love this picture

Arionna wants to be a ghost for Halloween this year, so she's practicing.

Daddy is a horsey (and he stops to give Jozalyn a kiss)

Wrestling time!

It's a bird...it's a plane...it's SUPER BABY!!!!!

Arionna loves it when daddy blows raspberries on her tummy

Jozalyn eats daddy's finger

It looks very cute, but in reality she was trying to give me a headlock!

Give mommy a headlock!

Arionna cutting my cake...the doctor told them never to let her use knives because she wouldn't be able to understand that they were sharp and she'd hurt herself, but she looks like she's doing ok (better than me...I cut my finger at work last night).

The bloodthirsty baby is now eating mommy's thumb

Daddy and his girls

Arionna dances around my living room with Frankenstein (he sings "Monster Mash" and she loves him)

When I first met Arionna, she wouldn't look anyone in the eye, and she refused to eat solid food so they had her on a feeding tube, and she barely spoke at all. Over the years, Floyd has worked with her, and she sat at the table eating tacos with us during my birthday dinner, and she called me on her mom's phone to wish me a happy birthday, and she dances and laughs and talks all the time now. Words can't describe how that makes me feel.

My friend Michelle (I love her, I do, but she's clueless sometimes) saw the pictures from the day at the hospital I spent with Jozalyn and Danielle and Arionna, and the first thing she said was "Cute baby. Is she normal? I mean, developmentally? Because her sister's not normal." I told her that as far as they know, Jozalyn's fine, and they won't really know until she's older...they didn't find out about Arionna until she was three. Michelle replied "Well what are they going to do if she's like her sister?"

Sometimes I have to refrain from stabbing Michelle in the face. I know she doesn't mean to come across that way, she "means well," but that's my problem. People mean well even as they essentially say that Arionna is "less than" a "normal" kid. I seriously had a blast on my birthday and I wanted to share these pictures, because first, let's face it, they're adorable, and because second, I think they answer Michelle's question. If Jozalyn is "like her sister" (oh horror of horrors) I think Floyd and Danielle will keep on doing what they're doing, loving her just the same. Because they love both of their kids. Just as they are.

THAT gives me hope for the world.
