I know I can download things, watch them, and delete them. It takes time to download episodes and I'll have to hunt around to find the shows I want to watch and then take the time to download them and then delete them. The point of this post was to complain and vent and get it off my chest that even if people find it silly, I'm sad to lose cable because I won't be able to get home and watch a marathon of Cold Case on Tuesday or Criminal Minds on Wednesday or something. I wasn't asking people to tell me how to use the internet, I was just venting about why I'm sad. I don't mean for this to come out snippy, but if it does, I'm sorry, I'm simply illustrating why it's silly to jump to give advice as your first response before you do anything else, especially if the person hasn't asked for advice and has in fact asked you specifically not to give her advice many times. Ten times out of ten, you tell me to do something I already know how to do and am in fact already doing, and it just gets trying to have to respond every time and ask you again to please stop giving me advice unless I ask you for it.
