I can't afford to pay my cable bill anymore, so I'm canceling my cable. Of course, Charter doesn't know this yet. I'm going to buy a digital converter box and antenna and unhook the charter and install them manually (I already put in an order to have DSL Elite added to my AT&T Monthly bill...it's $10 less than internet with Charter and I won't ( Read more... )

Second the Hulu thing. There are also other sites out there are streaming shows. Not necessarily legal, but still. That's how I caught up on the last season of Dexter.

I like Hulu, but it only has certain episodes of the shows I like, I won't just be able to get home and watch them in a long marathon like I do now with TNT and USA and Food Network (Food Network in particular has a lot of show it's hard to find on places like Hulu).

True. On the bright side, at least you have quite a few movies to watch. And I'm sure to be sending you another package full of them in the near future. :)

Yay! The good thing is I'll be forced to watch my HUGE pile of unwatched movies I've been avoiding since I have cable to watch. :-p

I seem to have similar problems. :-p

I want to watch a movie but I'll fall asleep if I go sit on the couch. I've been up for nearly 17 hours now so I'm about finished.

Usually I don't have the mental capacity to follow the plot for a 2 hour movie which is how I got so hooked on TV (an hour and it's over!) I'm slowly getting back into the movie swing of things though.

I'm about beat for today too. I haven't slept from when I got up to work Sunday night. :P

I've taken some time off from movies myself. My quest for 365 in 365 has slowed some. I keep having the temptation to stop with the reviews so I can just bang out some movies without having to really think about them. But then, I hit a little stretch of reviews that I feel are really good so I keep going. Blllllllllllah, I'm rambling now.

No, it makes sense. I know what you mean. I put off updating my blog for almost a month because writing he reviews gets to be a chore, and then I'll write a slew of reviews like I did today and I think they're good so it makes everything more worthwhile again. At least I'm caught up now and can write more reviews. With not having cable to distract me, I'll definitely cram more movies in.

The lack of comments on the reviews also affects me a bit. I was hoping to have some of my Facebook friends actually participate somewhat but so far, it's been the usual suspects. Or suspect, as it were. Anyway, I've got two lined up for review...just don't know when I'm actually gonna settle in and write them out.

Yeah, the lack of comments bugs me, too. Especially on that Oscar post (I worked fucking hard on that thing, dammit). I'm glad some people read at least.
