You know what I fucking hate? Walmart. I bought toys for the chilluns there thinking I was getting some good deals. Then I went to Dollar General tonight (a dollar store near here where everything's NOT a dollar all the time, but where things are generally cheap) and EVERY SINGLE THING I got the kids at Walmart was on sale there for cheap but even WORSE, there were several things that were BETTER than what I bought at Walmart for much lower prices. I was PISSED. At Dollar General, they have generic brand toys, but unlike some places, the generic toys there are pretty high quality, and like I said, the ones they had here were even BETTER than the name-brand stuff. They had better quality, the toys looked sturdier, and in the case of the cheap knock-off My Little Ponies, the playsets with the bigger ponies came with two regular-sized ponies for SEVEN DOLLARS LESS. And the barbies at DG were three to five dollars cheaper, and they had better dolls. Walmart had the line of Mermaidia barbies and they DIDN'T HAVE A MERMAID. How the hell are you going to have a famous line of toys and not have the main character? And it wasn't like they used to have her and just sold out, the shelves were full of the stock characters from the toy line, but they didn't have the main doll (the actual mermaid) so they could stack the shelves with more Slutbag Ho barbies. Anyway, DG had the mermaid doll and of course, she was three dollars cheaper than the one I'd already bought.

*fumes*

Needless to say, I'm making a trip to Walmart tonight to return some stuff. Assholes. I think I'm going to start checking DG first from now on. It's further away and it's not open 24 hours like Walmart, but if the stuff is better it's worth the trip.
