Elena was mostly wandering, it wasn't exactly a time where she should be somewhere everyone was mostly occupied with the upcoming dance, so not many people were out in the hallways. Which, when she was entirely honest with herself, was kind of creepy. The place was perhaps more frightening than the basements of the Shinra building, and those things were so decrepit and rusting, she gave herself the shakes thinking about it. Might have had something to do with the time Reno jumped out at her down there and she took a swing as his head. - It wasn't important.

She was going over that scene in her head, about how she had screamed like a tiny girl and just swung out at the first thing at moved, giving Reno a good solid smack to the side of the head, and how terrible she felt about it afterwards, but at least Reno got a good laugh out of it before the blunt force trauma.

Speaking of blunt force, in the middle of the hall was a fire extinguisher, it was entirely unassuming, it was just out of place. Elena's eyebrows knitted in concern as she approached it, why on earth would it have been in the middle of the hall. She stooped to pick it up when she saw the gymnasium door cracked open, the chain locking it closed had been smashed repeatedly. Well at least that explained the dents in the extinguisher. She pushed the door open, poking her head inside, (she felt the need to quickly press her back to the other door, making sure she had checked all of her blind spots before continuing - Turks. Always.) there didn't appear to be anyone there. But there was this weird obnoxious humming, it sounded like a person, but what with the shoddy insulation of this building she wouldn't have been surprised if there was just a draft.

Had she not been in scenarios like this before, she would have noted this was just like something out of a horror movie, mysteriously opened door, no one's in the room, strange noises, really all she needed was to turn around and the door would lock behind her and it'd be Hollywood gold. Obviously someone was in here when they weren't supposed to be, and she had a few good guesses who.

She adjusted the fire extinguisher in her arms, they were heavier than they looked, taking further steps into the gym, looking around a bit. It wasn't the paragon of physical activity, but it probably would have gotten the job done if it wasn't so cold in here. Maybe that was why it was chained up. She shrugged and turned on heel, headed back towards the door (which didn't lock behind her), she'd just bring her new baggage down to the nurses station and see if she could find someone to put a new lock on the door.

It was going to bother her all day that she wouldn't know why someone had broken into the gym (or who), but she didn't think it was going to be worth the time to try to find out who, other things to do and it would have only been wasted energy. So, back to work she went.
