Jennifer sat silently on her dormitory bed, hands laced in her lap, staring off into the distance. She had let her hair down as soon as she had entered the room that would be her home, so, due to her position - head slightly bowed - her dirty blond hair covered most of her face. She hoped some of her roommates would show up soon; if none of them arrived she would be compelled to wander the halls in an attempt to find someone to socialize with. Alone for too long...that wouldn't be a good thing, not at all. She needed solace.
The young woman bit her lip and simply continued to stare.
Please? Someone?...
