William Birkin currently didn't really want anything to do with anyone. But if anyone knew the ex-scientist, they'd have known that the library was on of his favorite places to be. After his really hard conversation with his therapist yesterday, it was the perfect place to lose himself in a good book. Probably something along the lines of philosophy or one of those crime drama's. Of course he wouldn't let anyone know he read either.

On his way to the library he looked out the window at all the people having their picnic. He'd have liked to be there, but he wasn't allowed as his risk of escape was high. Shaking his head he continued on his way to the library. Once at the door he almost turned around. The infection lingering in the air was heavy and at first he thought it was Steve. Then he realized it was a bit different and figured Albert was near by. If he ran into the other tyrant, it would be almost better. He still had much to talk to him about.

Yet, he wasn't about to go and seek the other blond out. Not when he could look for another book and hide in his room the rest of the day. He went inside and looked over the books. He was looking for something he hadn't read yet, which there seemed to be a different selection then what was at the other building. He touched a book then pulled it out, opening and reading the first page before putting it back.

“Not going to say hello to me, William?” Wesker asked, not bothering to look up from his book.

He had felt the other approach but paid it no amount of great attention. They were far overdue for a certain conversation but the ways of the institution had been rather successful at preventing it. Perhaps it was on purpose given their history. What with attempted murder and everything.

“I’m beginning to think that you’re avoiding me.”

A nervous laugh hit the blonds ears sharply, making even the ex-scientist cring a bit at the sound. Was that what he sounded like? How annoying. He turned and looked at the taller man before speaking.

"Avoiding you? Not at all, Albert." He lied. He had been meaning to speak with him, just he was nervous about this meaning for such obvious reasons. After what happened with Steve, he thought his reaction to the other blond would be about the same. He felt the curl of lust hitting him but held it back.

"I guess this place is a good enough place to talk as any other." He said dully as he took a seat near the older man. William watched him for a moment, taking in the sight of Wesker reading.

"Interesting choice of reading material." William stated.

"Hn. I've never read it."

From the looks of it, Wesker was several chapters in but not more than half way. He had received more attention then he had wanted today and reading had become difficult with constant interruption of British socialites and suspiciously dense, spoon brandishing, children.

He marked his place and then closed the book, setting it to the side as if to signify that he was indeed turning his full attention to the matter at hand. There had been seldom a chance for them to actually be face to face since Malaise had moved and William recaptured. It seemed that a great deal had transpired.

"Was it worth it?"

"Worth it? In the manner of speaking, it was. I got what I always wanted, didn't I? The g-virus and I are one, but I'm not sure if the price was worth it in the end." He paused for a moment, watching the other man through crimson eyes.

"I never thought once that Steve would be at the facility, as ironic as that is alone. Really if I had known he was there, I probably would have acted the same. I wouldn't die for some kid I barely know, and being shot was enough for me to actually use the G. Either way the fact that Steve and I had faught afterwards doesn't surprise me at all." William stated. He wondered if Wesker already knew what had happened. Maybe Steve had already talked to him, or possibly Alfred. Either way he hoped Albert wouldn't hate him to for his actions.
