``She is,`` Kadaj nodded once again, shifting barely against the couch and stretching his good arm, waiting until he heard it pop before dropping it against his thigh, glad that the stiffness had left his shoulder now.

He wasn't sure what else he was suppose to say. He hadn't seen Mother in so long, but he could always remember what she looked like and how wonderful she had been, but would it always be like that? Nothing would change, right?

Of course.

The boy winced at the sound the other's back made.

"Sore?"

A frown crossed his face when he noticed the other boy's wince, his hand coming up so he could brush his hair over his shoulder, his fingers brushing the shorter side ever so slightly. Sadly, it was already starting to grow back out and he'd probably have to go get it cut evenly again. Ah well.

``A little,`` he replied, setting his hand on the sling that held his right arm and sighing lightly. ``Do you know how long it takes for a dislocated arm to get better? I'm sure tired of waiting.``

"I think it depends on how bad it was," he said, shrugging lightly. "And how much you try to move it."

Kadaj thought back to when he had messed his arm up, his hand clenching into a fist and his eyes flashing in a rather menacing way, the pupils dilating to barely visible slits now. That bastard had paid for trying to hurt that girl and he was damn proud that he had hurt the man. He deserved it.

``I guess it was in a lot of pain, but I could sort of move it when it was put back into place. It hurt though.`` He tilted his head to the side once more, a curious look replacing the anger that had filled his eyes rather quickly. He didn't want to make it seem like the brunet had made him angry because he hadn't. ``I can't move it much when it's strapped to my chest. . .``

"I think that is the point of having it in a sling." he said, laughing lightly.

He didn't miss the odd thing the other's eyes did, silently wondering if that could be an involuntary reaction, considering the lights weren't flickering or anything that might warrant the change.

“You provably can move it already, but it’s better not to force it. You don’t look exactly look like the kind to stand around arms crossed, either… I guess that’s why they decided to do it like that. You should ask a doctor if they shouldn’t let you start therapy with that hand, though.”

``I figured,`` he shook his head, shutting his eyes for a moment and letting out a small sigh. If only he hadn't gotten his arm messed up.

Lifting his hand, Kadaj used his fingers to tuck some of his silver hair behind his ear, looking back up at Hao afterwards and smiling once more.

``Then I won't force it. I will go and speak to my doctor about letting me use my hand as soon as it stops hurting. I might ask him about pain killers too since I know I didn't take too many of those.``

"Water might help." Hao said, all of the sudden.

"If you ask to be let to the pool, they provably would have to take the sling off, and if you are careful and don't force your arm too much, it might actually be helpful."

And he'd get to see if the other was even paler under those clothes. That was something worth wondering.

Kadaj glanced up when he heard the other say something about water, his head tilting before he lifted his hand to scratch at his cheek.

``Then maybe I should ask my doctor about spending more time at the pool for my arm. I'm sure I could get it working again if water would help and all.``

He tossed his hair out of his face, feeling a light blush creeping across his face, but he turned away to hide it. He'd never even seen the pool for so long, but he was sure that it would help his arm if he used it.

"I think that today is pool day, right?"

``I think,`` he replied, glancing towards the door before lifting his arm and sort of crossing it over his stomach, once again wishing that his other arm was usable since he was use to resting both of them over his stomach.

Kadaj licked his lips, leaning his head back and shutting his eyes once more, feeling his meds starting to kick in. Sadly, when they kicked in, he usually started getting tired and he eventually fell asleep.

He wondered if Hao would mind him just resting for a little bit.

"Well, we could go." said the younger boy, smiling lightly. "I have nothing better to do, besides lounging in the ridiculously comfortable sofa."

[ilymother]

``I don't know. . .`` Kadaj looked down at his lap, fidgeting with his shirt and biting down onto his bottom lip. ``I don't really have any swimming clothes on me, so maybe later or something?``

He smiled lightly, looking towards the brunet male and almost setting his head against his shoulder since he was starting to feel heavy. ``I believe my meds are starting to beat me up.``

"That's nice. I don't have that many meds yet...." he cocked his head to the side, eyeing the other. "Maybe you should take a nap."

``It's nice that my meds are beating me up?`` He faked a light pout towards the other male, shaking his head before letting his frown fade, another grin crossing his face afterwards.

Stretching his good arm again, he leaned back a little more into the couch, shutting his eyes slowly. ``I think that I just might, if that's okay with you? I mean.. I don't want to be rude.``

The younger boy waved a hand dismissively.

"Not like you can help it, right? Don't worry for it. We can talk again when you are feeling better..."
