Okay so here's a update on me. As I said before I'm tired but nothing like what some of my friends are feeling. Things have actually been a lot calmer then I thought they would. So on with the + and - of my life.

+ : The municpalities undergoing Internal and Pay Equity which means that I should get some kind of raise if I stay next year. I don't know what it is, but it should be at lesaet $2 or $3 .
- : I have to fill out a 15 page form (and no it doeesn't have true or false questions) in order for this to happen and I just don't have the time right now unless I do it outside work which I REALLY don't want to do. Oh well, if I have to I'll get paid at least.

+ : I went to a course in North Bay last week and it was fabulous! It was on Exhibit design and I learned a lot that will really help me with putting the building back together. I really wish I'd done it months ago before we put together the initial conception of the building layout but nothing I can't do abou that now. I'll work around it. It also cost me a lot less then I thought it would. My expenses totaled about $300 which was great.
- : Very small one, just that I was away for almost a week and the timing was horrible because of the vent that was happening the next weekend. I had a lot of work when I came back. Goes with the territory.

+ : Pathfinders seems to be going okay. We thought we might have 5 girls there for a whiel but ones having really bad home problems and she won't be coming. They've planned their Halloween party and they are combining it with enrollment where they offically becoming pathfinders. THe really funny part is that instead of having their parents tie on their tie (which is generally a challenge since they'v enever learned how to tie it) they've going to have them bob for apples first! It should be ahoot. Now I have to find a costume. I"m wondering if I can still fit into my uniform....
Anyway, we've getting our units Mint Cookies next week and the girls have almost finished deciding what they want to do this year. This new program is big on the girls choosing what they want to do and we're trying to let them but it takes u pa lot of time and i'm not sure it's goign to work really well.
- : The girls didn't get to go to the Wye Marsh camp. We couldn't find enough people to go as there was a 10 person minimum and people kept have to back out. Then they charged us $150 as a cancellation fee that I didnt' even know was a possibility!!!! I was a little pissed with Pastry (the perosn planning it) for not haivng told me that one. Oh well.

+ : Well our last pubic even at the museum (for this year) is over. We did our antiques appraisal and silent auciton yesterday. On the plus side people really seemed to enjoy themsleves so that's something. We also had a our new uniorm shirts to wear so all the volunteers and board members looked very professional.
- : To say it WASN"T a raving sucess would be an understatement. WE only made about $380 on the apprsials and we spent at least $700 on publicicty alone! Yeah. The silent auction saved us though and we'll be able to cover our expenses. We won't be making a lot though. Oh and they mananged to screw up the shirts a little by getting too many and putting "Volunteer" and Board Member on them...forgetting that the two staff, who are neither, would ned to wear them too! They were only supposed to put the logo so that I could sell whatever wasn't wanted by teh Volunteer or the boardmembers....now I'm stuck with 17$25 shirts that few people are going to want to pay for and no way to even get some of teh money back. Yippee.

Finally, and this is totally a ------, Christine finishes at the end of the month. I'm not sure what I'm goign to do without her. I will be a lot more lonely then it used to be. I've gotten used to having someone eles in the building. It's been a logn time since I've had to work by myself. Not to mention all the extra work I'm going to end up with. Not looking forward to it. Yep, her leaving will be bad. We're going to have a Thank you Event for our volutneers on the 23rd of OCtober and I'm going to thank her and Hailly at that too. It should be nice for everyone.

I'm hoping that things will finally settle down for a few weeks about mid November. It'll be endof the year wrap up, budget time etc. but no events or things like that. At some point I also have to take two weeks of holidays as I haven't taken any this year. I might also have accumulated hours, but I'm not sure yet. I was thinking I might take these around Christmas when nobody will be wanting to work on exhibits with me and well..it seems like a good time. We'll see.

Yeps so that's my life for the last few weeks in a nut shell. If you've read this far....well I'm not sure what to say but "Hello!"
