Fabric stamping

My Lost Hope fairy costume is night-themed, so I needed a starry sky. I used a weird foam brush (shaped like a dome on a stick) to create a stamp. I turned it into an 8-pointed star by making a template, tracing that onto the brush's end, and snipping out the unnecessary bits. I used Lumiere paint in Bright Gold.

Took me about an hour to do the stamping. Unfortunately, I have some streaky bits. I was using newspaper underneath to mark out my grid and the paint went through the fabric and onto the newspaper, so whenever I moved the fabric it would streak across the underside. I'm not too concerned though. I'll cut around the bad streaks and the rest is going to be a wrapped turban, so it won't really be noticeable. Here are the two fabrics together, the stamped chiffon and the purple shantung (which is darker in real life):

The chiffon is drying (needs 24 hours, then ironing to set) and I have the bodice cut out of the shantung and muslin lining. I thought I would have to assemble the bodice before figuring out the skirt panels, but I just realized that since my bodice doesn't have a side seam, the skirt side seam doesn't need to match up with anything. Well, that makes things easier.
