Practically finished petticoat with pictures (and alliteration!)

My petticoat is finished, minus hook and eye which is waiting until the corset gets done. The corset is the last puzzle piece in my 1880s underwear. Well, except that now I need to make a small bustle (maybe ruffles or a small crescent-shaped pad); you'll see why in the comparison pictures.

You can see that the bustle pad gives a pretty perfect shape for c.1885, but I need a much smaller silhouette for 1882. But the no bustle pad is just too sad and flat with only one petticoat.
Some detail shots of the flounce with tucks and embroidery (purple is the disappearing fabric marker I used to mark the tucks) and the facing that I finished on the top with a blind hem stitch:




One more thing crossed off the list for CoCo sewing!
