Big Damn Rec
Okay, so I was hunting around new fics (specifically Mal/River, and I'm probably not alone there) and came accross this, Daughters of Jerusalem by hth-the-first. If you know about the Three Ships secret santa comm, then you may have seen this already.
It's labelled Inara/Mal/River, but it's not a threesome, and it's not a triangle, and even though I don't care too much for Mal/Inara, even implied, this totally blew me away. The heart and soul of this story lies in all three of the characters, and their relationships with each other are so wonderfully realised (especially what happens between Mal and River) that I was quite moved at the end. The characterisation of River, especially, is amazing.
I urge you all if you haven't read this to do so.
