Summary: River peeked into Mal's dreams, and she's paid the consequences. Now she's ready to reach out again, and show him she could be more than just a voyeur if he'd let her.
Excerpt:
Mexican standoff. They stare soberly at one another, until he is rising from his seat, he is making his excuses, and trying to slip past her. Her hand reaches out, finds his arm as he's pushing his awkward way through.
Author's Note: I have not been permanently Who-napped! This continues a story probably very few of you remember me posting. The first two parts were my Very First Official Fanfiction, the reason I created my MizJane journal. I've been playing in the Doctor Who fandom for a little while, but I got a craving for Firefly again last night, and returning to something familiar seemed like the best way to ease back in. Feel free to be brutally honest about it, that's how things improve. Love goes out to my loverly beta, cinderlily.
