Somehow I always figured the Lifestream would be a little more pleasant than this place...

Am I even dead? This has gone on too long to be just a hallucination from the experiments. I don't know if this is better or worse than being stuck in another mako tank. But... if this isn't the labs, then where in Shiva's name am I? Is there anyone else ( Read more... )

lost, arriving

Well, if this isn't the pleasant surprise.

Can't say I agree with you, sir.

No? Pity. Here I thought we'd have plenty of catching up to do.

From what I've heard from Cloud, there's not a lot you can say that I'd be interested in hearing.

First, betrayed. Now, dismissed. My, my, my... you are full of surprises.

If I'm not mistaken, General... You were the one who betrayed Shrina. Not to mention me.

Might I remind you, Lieutenant that it was ShinRa who inspired this marvelous chain of events to follow. What befell them and the world was inspired by their own design. I merely exacted the judgment so rightfully deserved.

As for you, you hardly left me with a choice.

My loyalty to Shinra is as non-existant as yours now.

What choice was there to make! You killed dozens of innocent people and you honestly expected me to stand by and watch quietly, let alone side with you after that?

And that company is about as non-existent as your faith.

..Why not?

What do you mean by that?

Why not? Because they didn't deserve it. Because we were there to protect that town from whatever monsters were being drawn to the reactors, and you turned around and did just the opposite! Because I stopped knowing who you were then and couldn't believe in or respect the things you did. That's why not.

That's right. You haven't exactly been around, have you?

Step away from that for a moment. Consider for now how much better the two of us functioned when we're on the same side.We worked well together, didn't we?

No thanks to you.

We may have worked well in the past but it was when we were fighting for the right thing and not this madness you seem to believe in now. Do you really think I could trust you again after you tried to kill me?

No thanks to your poorer judgment.

It certainly wouldn't be the most foolish thing you've ever done.

I'd go through it all over again if it meant stopping you from repeating your actions.

No, but it would be the most despicable.

How terribly noble of you.

Perhaps, but it doesn't have to be.

You know me~

And what the hell do you mean by that? Isn't it obvious that it would be?
