Just a Miracle (P. 4)
The preparation for Super Junior M’s debut was a total madness, the members found out that a couple of new guys would be part of the sub-group: Henry, the taiwanese-canadian boy they met during Don’t Don promotions and Zhou Mi: a chinese guy just a little older than Siwon. They didn’t know Henry that well (they didn’t spend time together outside the live performances) and they hadn’t met Zhou Mi yet.
But there had to be trouble somewhere, some people, especially the fans, strongly opposed to the idea of new members in the sub-group. Siwon was not sure of how he felt about the addition until he spoke about it with the maknae one night after going out to have dinner.
-I don’t know, I-I don’t hate them or anything like that, but if ELFs do not want them with us I’m not sure it’s such a good idea. The older said honestly.
-ELFs didn’t want me either, hyung. Kyuhyun mumbled.
-That’s different Kyuhyunnie, you have an angelic voice and you’ve proved you are worthy of being a member. Kyuhyun interrupted Siwon.
-Exactly, I think they also deserve a chance to prove the can be in the group. It’s not fair just to hate them before knowing them. Siwon knew the youngest was thinking about the time when he had just been added when neither ELF or them wanted him.
-Kyuhyun, we love you now...and so does ELF, I think that out of Super Junior, you are the one they love the most.
-Yeah, but maybe it was thanks to the accident; they gave the chance beacuse I survived...if it hadn’t happened, it wouldn’t have been so easy...
Once again, Kyuhyun had left Siwon mute.
-I want to help them to get used to Super Junior and I will try to be the kindest for them. Maybe if the fans know that they are friends with us they will approve them quickly. I don’t want them to go through the same things that I had to. Siwon then nodded in agreement and promised himself to be nice to the new guys and not judge them until he knew them and they showed they could be in the group.
-The only thing that i don’t like. Said Kyuhyun out of the blue. Is that I will not be the maknae anymore.
Siwon bursted out laughing and hugging Kyuhyun by the shoulders said -No matter what, you shall always be Super Junior’s evil maknae. He gave the youngest a kiss in the cheek and the maknae wiped it off with his hand while he made a face of disgust.
Everyday, the boys had to practice the new choreographies and, as they were just 7, they needed to know it perfectly (a mistake in a smaller group would notice a lot more than in a group of 13). Aside from that, the Korean members received Chinese classes everyday, they needed to practice their pronunciation so when they sang, they would do it effortlessly.
For Siwon, who had studied some Chinese with Hankyung before, it wasn’t too much of a problem; the rest of the guys struggled a little so he helped them with what he knew. He was glad to know that Kyuhyun had a talent for Chinese, especially the tongue twisters in which even Hankyung had some hard time saying.
The new members turned out to be a great surprise. Siwon knew that Henry was amazing with the violin from his solo in Don’t Don; but he got to know later that he spoke at least 3 languages, danced great, wasn’t bad at singing and also played piano and guitar; being barely 19 years old (Korean Age).
Zhou Mi had a likable personality (Siwon was sure he took classes of how to MC) and had a pretty descent voice (Ryeowook’s was still better, let alone Kyuhyun’s); but thanks to what the youngest told him, he accepted them.
That was, of course, until Kyuhyun started hanging out a little too much with Zhou Mi.
It all started with Chinese, though the maknae wasn’t bad at it, he wanted a tutor that would help him improve and Zhou Mi happened to be the only one available at the time. The two of them got along right away, and besides the Chinese lessons, they would often go to have dinner if their schedules allowed it, which wasn’t very often.
At first, Siwon just brushed it off, he knew Kyuhyun wanted to receive the new members nicely to make it easier for ELFs to accept them; but after the third refusal from the youngest to hang out because he already had plan with Zhou Mi, he felt kind of felt left out.
-Don’t worry about it. Hankyung told Siwon one day. Kyuhyun is like a little kid, getting excited over the new toy. Once we spend some time with Henry and Zhou Mi and ELFs welcome them, everything will go back to normal.
But it didn't go back to how it used it, it actually got worse once they arrived to China....
I know this one is a lot smaller and probably the worst so far..I'm really sorry but I've barely got time to write...i promise I'll try to compensate with the next chapter!!
