oh, DST

daylight savings time always throws me off

is it on now? or is it not? I don't even know. )8;

my dad keeps doing some work in the garage that involves shutting off my electricity.

my alarm clock is, as a result, blinking. I think it's been like that since like, yesterday afternoon. or so.

yesternight I stayed up until 3AM. after DST adjustments are applied. so I *really* went to sleep at 4AM. oops! :D

I was watching Paprika. I dl'd it a while ago but never got around to watching it. P:

.....oddly enough, the version I got was spanish subbed =_= even though when I looked up the subbing group, they were an english subbing group. what?

so I turned off the subs for a bit...I understood it fairly okay, but...

I'd rather have subs, so I went digging around for ENGLISH subs (the first softsubs I found somehow were made into SPANISH WHAT? even though when I opened them in notepad, it was english. I really don't know.)

finally found english softsubs!

so anywayy....

mygawd the animation is so pretty. I guess after watching so many series-anime, the quality of movie-anime is just mindblowing. @_@ love it. more frames, no anatomical failings, more detailed shading, beautiful backgrounds... *_*

it's so good that I didn't mind the parts where they re-used animation frames for the more complicated scenes where there's like, a parade of 32047259857345 different little objects moving around O:

I'd seen this movie at blockbuster before, but didn't want to ask my mom to rent it. LOL. the back said it was rated like, R. I mean...what?

Yeah there's blood, but it's not really gorey ...and one lady ends up being nude, but it's not slutty or anything... I don't really get why it was rated R. Plus, it's freaking anime. Not live-action. P: maybe if it was live-action, I'd agree with an R-rating, but...it's tame. -shrug-

suuu..yeah. some people found similarities between Paprika and Inception, and...I can't deny it. LOL. I don't know which one I like more. Both made me sit in suspense, because..you know...there's like, creepy dolls and things in Paprika. And Inception is naturally...suspense...driven? o_o; And both have beautiful animation and CG, respectively.

elevators!

one thing about Paprika, though, is there's no bishies LOOOOOL. )8; there's one "bishie," in the sense that he looks better than everyone else, but is still very, very plain...but he's a fairly minor character until near the end, and then he's just a creeper. like, srs CREEPER.

lol @ the wheelchair professor X guy -SHOT-

hmm..at least in Paprika there's no creepy death-glare lady who death-glares. although there's plenty of creepy equivalents, hur hur.

the imagination makes me want to watch Spirited Away again. LOL.

.cartoon drama, .condensed drama, .my 3 cents
