Rainy Day
Since when is it suppose to be torrentially pouring down in July? Thunderstorms in the middle of the day? this is pretty much not tormal for my town...not until August... I swear the world is gonna end soon >_> Two storms have already passed through today with bright sunny blue skies in between. If you'd seen the sky right before and after the storms, you'd never think it was pouring down this much and this hard. Weirdness. During the first storm I was alone in the house and I got freaked out because the thunder made it sound like someone was running around upstairs =_=" And this has been our weather all week. At least it's good for the plants...
I'm trying to study my Japanese lessons today, but I feel really distracted. I keep thinking about all the life stuff that people that I know are going through, and yeah... just makes me pensive I guess. I wish I could split my mind into different working corners... I could have one quarter for contemplating life and everyone's troubles, another quarter for studying, another quarter for immediate attention things so I don't appear to be in a daze like I usually do now, and the last quarter could be back up or something, idk XD ... ah perfect world... lol.
So it's official, my new job's orientation will be on Monday, I have 8 hours of Orientation to look forward to for Monday and Tuesday, both in the evening, and then first day of training is another 8 hours on wednesday... so that's 24 hours of my time just at work. Time which I will no longer be able to spend studying, which is why I should be studying right now instead of writing this, but there seems to be a disconnect between what I know I should do, and what I really am doing. I still have workbook stuff to finish and a kanji quiz (another one) to study for for monday... plus reading ahead on the chapter. I want to do well, and I'll put in my work, but sometimes it seems pointless? I don't know... eugh, this is why I hate perpetual rainy days... I like the rain at first, but then it gets me down. haha ... maybe it'll start thundering and lightning really hard... that should liven me up lol.
Okay, enough of this rainy day rambling. Back to work I guess... or maybe I'll go check facebook or my flist or something >_>
