THIRD JOURNAL ENTRY
I spoke with T over the phone today, when she had time between clients. She wanted an update on the journal diary, like this thing is the most important thing ever. Despite last entry's digression, she seemed pleased, especially with my decision to make at least one list per entry. It encourages order, she says. I think it makes me more like Bridget Jones, which I oddly don't mind at all. At least she ends up with two guys fighting over her. And drinks more wine than strictly appropriate.
So let's kick today off with a list.
Things I need:
1. Mechanical pencil. Or a crossword pen. Because correction fluid is way too middle school, and scratching out my mistakes is getting tiring.
2. A job.
3. Peace and quiet.
4. A stiff drink.
I also wouldn't complain if I got a good lay or two, but I'm in Lima now. Let's be reasonable. Come on.
Aside from those minor life aspirations, today has been uneventful. Talked to dad about maybe picking up some work at the garage. At the moment he's full up on employees, but he said he'd call me if someone called in sick or couldn't make a shift for some reason. That's some money in the bank, at least. I'm thrilled that dad lets me live here. The new house he and Carole bought is amazing, it's really big and feels like home. They haven't even made a guest room yet, they just filled the last bedroom with all my stuff and told me it's going to be there for as long as I need it. I love dad so much.
For the record, I don't give a shit don't care that I'm supposed to write about everything on my mind in here. Some things are better left untouched, I think. At least today. I'm in a fairly stable mood today, and would rather not ruin it. Why?
I ran into Blaine.
I'll talk more about that later, preferably after I get that stiff drink.
