(no subject)
Hey.
It ought to have occurred to me that today was going to be a weird day when my little brother actually used my name and spoke (well, typed) to me in extremely proper English. He even said the word "nor"! Turns out he wanted a reference letter for a job he is applying to.
But to cement in my mind that today would be weird, here's the first thing I heard from one of my bosses when I got to work...
"The police are looking for you."
Silly me, I thought she was joking. I tell her, "I just got here, and haven't had enough time to cause trouble yet. The cops don't normally show up for a couple more hours." To which she replies,
"They stopped at your house and saw a car out front but no one answered the door."
Oops. Boss was serious. There really is a cop out there somewhere looking for me. They told the police that I was working tonight, but alas, no one showed up looking for me tonight. So now I must go to bed early and make sure I am awake for when I am sure they will make a repeat appearance tomorrow. As I do not have an offering of donuts, I am sure it will annoy them if I don't come to the door again.
So, off to bed I go. Seems like I may be in for more weirdness tomorrow.

P.S. I know, you're wondering, "What on earth could she have done?" I didn't do anything! I am innocent, I tell you! It was the one armed man!!!!
But seriously, I didn't do anything. As far as I can tell, I need to appear in court as I am a witness to one of the lamest crimes ever committed. That should be interesting. I could have told you this at the beginning, but it's more dramatic and exciting if you think that I have cops chasing me around first. :)
