oh dear...jrock, gackt, malice mizer, and the non-goth thing...
What a random title. Anyways, it's happened, in all my 8 years or so of Jrock fandom, I fought valiantly to avoid being grouped with the other so-called fans who discovered the music through anime--in fact, I'm lucky I didn't. There's so much more to japanese music than an anime theme! One of the bands I denied like the plague was Malice Mizer. While Mana single-handedly created the style known as Elegant Goth Lolita, it has very little to do with the real goth culture, despite appearances. I admit, I like their sound. It's happened, I know. I downloaded Suniykiss and some others and even a live performance *gasp*! Oh the attrocity. OK, I'll like MM but I don't have to like Mana...
